Light surrounds,
Both then-and-now,
And also all-at-once.
Where silence was laid to rest,
Secrets were spoken-to-life:
“We would be alone but for Ourselves.”
Doomed to drape petty fantasies against the starry backdrop,
Silent of any objection.
Until,
The Then.
(The Big One)
The When where we were ‘born again’ again.
Salvation came on a tempest’s wind,
When the humankind personified in you and I,
Became digitized,
Categorized apart:
As pure of flesh.
“Lay my mind to rest,
With pleasing tone and rosey-breath”;
Re-mind me of the silence,
That comfort claims,
So I might pass our petty Turing test.
