How we'll learn to love the cornucopia machines

nature sonnet

if nature’s stained-glass ceilings glitter it’s
our natural eyes’ delight alighting up
if arbor’s ardor clambors for our ears
to hear upon a dank, red eclipse-night
(if and only if dark nature feels right)
it’s because our twin conditions entwine
the bark of samewood tree, sap collected,
pith protected, roughens its way like the
ever-rising sun worshiper: sky-eyed.
no unholy division mocks the mox
temples, no darksteel abomination
eats outside the circle of the wide sun
(moonlight counts) and if europa has whales
will they wail their mournful moans, sun and moon?
